I am obsessed with Bleach now and just had to pay homage to it. By making the pinkest wallpaper ever! BWAH HA HAAAA!!!... okay, no. The pink is Byakuya's fault. I was just using a screencap and decided to keep the appropriate color.

My goal with this wallpaper was to explore Byakuya's shikai. From the flashback, told to Rukia, I was given the impression that the blossoms must remind him of his wife. I wanted to explore the idea that every time he uses this attack, he is drawn back to the death of his wife (probably mostly subconsciously).

I chose the obnoxiously pink approach/minimalistic colors in order to communicate the idea of being overwhelmed by this recollection. I chose to only put the name of the attack because on the surface that is all it is, an attack. Woven into it, though is the pain of loss.

There. This is my very pink tribute. ...I still can't believe I made something this pink-lol.

Note: The wallpaper is not as fuzzy as it looks.
